Studio Design Technician

Do you love a challenge? Do you have a passion for digital design and thrive in a technical role? We’re looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join our production studio in Hackthorpe, Penrith. As part of our design team, you will learn to create our unique pieces, including creating and editing artwork in photoshop, creating artwork ready for print and, most excitingly, using our array of fiber and co2 laser machines, rotary engravers and cnc machinery. To complete the process, you will also be using rotary bench polishers and hand solder where necessary to add the finishing touches. You’ll need to be extremely detail oriented with an eye for accuracy.

As our process is unique to us, you’ll receive full training, however, you will need to be extremely confident in using technology and design programs including photoshop and any experience in operating laser and/or engraving machines is an advantage. If you have no experience in using such machines, a clear understanding, research and interest of laser machines, their uses and capabilities is a must - (our motto is “there’s a YouTube video for everything!”). This is the perfect opportunity for someone who really wants to progress their career and will hit the ground running. We’re initially looking to cover 40 hours per week in the Studio, whether this be with one full time team member or two part time positions. Salary is competitive and will be negotiated based on experience in working with machinery and design programs. 

We run an extensive job progression programme which includes training at all levels, a pay scale which increases as you progress and 6 weeks paid holiday (rising to 7 weeks after 24 months).
