I was desperate to find a way of coping with the terrible grief I felt after the loss of our beloved cat Simla. We had her from a tiny kitten for 17 years, and for me and my partner she was our baby, both of us having grown-up children from previous marriages. The three of us were happily growing old together, but tragically, Simla got to the final stage first, and we had to make the awful decision to have her put to sleep, which is such a blessing for the creature, person in pain, and such an agonising curse for the loved ones that agree to euthanasia.
I was so happy to find Hand on Heart Jewellery, I’ve never encountered a company that was so genuinely kind and compassionate, and who create such beautiful jewellery. I now have a beautiful little green ring made with some of Simla’s ashes, and I show it off to everyone. It’s such a real comfort to me, and I’m really, really grateful to the whole team for creating it for me, with love!
