I got the most beautiful necklace made from the ashes of my stepmum. My stepmum came into my life when I was just 6 months old- she moulded me into the woman I am today. I sadly lost her to cancer in 2022, and every day I try to carry just half the strength she had. I got a ‘just keep swimming’ tattoo for her because it was our favourite film to watch together, and if there’s one thing I could say for someone experiencing grief - just keep swimming! I miss her every day, and being able to have her so close brings comfort I haven’t felt in what feels like forever. She truly is irreplaceable.
