My Dad, Kane. My Dad loved his music, he had such a big collection of CDs, Vinyl and thousands upon thousands of songs on his iTunes. When I was 8 I begged my parents if I could have piano lessons and my love for music began. I went onto play piano before moving onto saxophone and clarinet in recent years. My Dad was always so proud of me for learning my musical instruments and always amazed at the fact if I wanted to learn a new instrument I or he would buy it and I would have learnt something on it within a week or so. He would watch me practice and smile so much. We would always share our passion for music by discussing what songs we liked, what solos we enjoyed, or what new song we had heard on the radio. I lost my Dad unexpectedly in October 2024 and I just knew I needed something created in his memory as he should still be here with everyone. I couldn’t be more grateful to Hand on Heart who have provided me with the most beautiful finger print necklace that also has my Dads handwriting on the back. My childhood nickname, and stuck with me to my current age of 27, is Tiger and to see that engraved on the back in my Dads handwriting means a lot to me. I wear my necklace all the time, especially when I am practising my musical instruments that way my Dad is always still with me and hearing me practice. Being able to feel his fingerprint when I need my Dads comfort means so much to me because it feels like he is holding my hand. Thank you so much Hand on Heart, I am so touched at how beautiful my necklace is.
