My husband, Geoff, is the absolute love of my life. Geoff had polycystic kidney disease all of his life. He worked hard doing a really physical job, although he would be in pain; he never complained. 5 years ago, he medically retired due to the chronic illness that finally beat him, and we started his dialysis journey again without complaint. He eventually was given the gift of life from a courageous family in the form of a kidney transplant. We are forever grateful to our unknown hero. Tragically, an accident gave him his angel wings at the age of 62. I had a necklace and a ring made with his ashes, which helps me feel him close to me still.
