There is no universal ring sizing system. Ring sizes can vary slightly between jewellers depending on how their rings are made and measured. This doesn’t mean anyone is wrong or right, it simply means that sizing is not standardised across the industry.
All of our rings are made to the exact measurements of our own ring sizers, which is why using one gives the most accurate and reliable result for a perfect fit.
This is especially important for ashes rings, which cannot be resized. Due to the nature of the ashes setting, resizing would cause the setting to crack and damage the piece. Taking the time to measure correctly before ordering is essential.
How to Use Our Ring Sizer Correctly
• When using our ring sizer, wear it just as you would a normal ring:
• Slip it on and off your finger to ensure it feels comfortable
• It should slide on easily but offer slight resistance over the knuckle
• It should feel secure without being tight
Most importantly, try the ring sizer at different times of the day and in different temperatures. Fingers naturally swell and shrink depending on warmth, activity, and time of day, so testing more than once helps you find the most accurate size.
Other Measuring Methods
You may come across methods such as measuring an existing ring or using online charts. While these can be useful as a rough guide, they are not as accurate as using our ring sizer and can lead to incorrect sizing.
