The Front of the Charm: The front of the charm will be carefully imprinted with the true detail of the fingerprint that you supply us. Our dedicated design team will use the most detailed section of the fingerprint to create your bracelet, meaning it will be completely unique. We can either use a print that you already have (taken using ink and paper), or we can send you a Free Printing Kit to take the print when you place your order.
The Reverse of the Charm: The reverse side can be engraved with a special name, date or personalised message (up to 20 characters) in our own standard font. You can also choose to have your loved ones' true handwriting engraved on the reverse of the design if you would prefer, all we need is a photograph of the message you would like transferring.
Guarantee & Gift Packaging: This Charm Bracelet is from our Premium Imprint Range, meaning that the prints are imprinted into the silver rather than engraved onto the surface. This design comes with a lifetime no-fade guarantee ensuring that your piece will last a lifetime if looked after. Notes about fingerprints: Children develop fingerprints at different ages. We recommend fingerprint jewellery for children over the age of 12 months, older children and adults. For children under 12 months, we recommend our hand and footprint range.
When creating this range, we do require a certain amount of detail to be visible in the fingerprint and so, if you already have prints you would like to use we would strongly recommend contacting our team at studio@handonheartjewellery.co.uk prior to placing your order so that we can check the suitability of your prints.

Ordering Fingerprint Jewellery is easy with our streamlined process. Start by personalising your design via our available options. You can provide prints using a printing kit we'll send you, use existing prints you might have, or even use prints from a previous order you may have placed. If you wish to use prints that you already have, please email a photograph/copy of them for us to check before ordering.
Once you have placed your order and have your prints ready, simply snap a photo of them and head to our Print Uploader Here. Remember to keep your order number handy, which is available in your Order Confirmation Email. View more details >
If you have chosen to include Handwriting on your design, you can upload a photograph of the writing you'd like to use to our Print Uploader with your Fingerprint image.
We create our fingerprint jewellery in two distinct styles: "standard" and "memorial."
Design such as this one are created using what we would call a 'standard print'. This style is created by using a small section of the print which is then enhanced to ensure it is clear, detailed, and shaped perfectly within an oval space. This style of jewellery requires a highly detailed, sharp print in order to achieve the desired finish.
If you have prints which hold less fine detail, you may want to take a look at our range of Memorial Fingerprint Jewellery. This particular style has been specifically created to honour prints which may have less detail but can be used for all prints, not just memorial. We use the full print as it is, without any modifications. This range was developed alongside Funeral Homes to ensure that prints with softer details or less clarity can be incorporated into our jewellery, preserving the authenticity and significance of the print. If your design includes engraving in our own font, please note that this will be completed in lower case with a capital letter at the beginning of names and messages. Initials will be in Capital letters. Need inspiration? Discover our blog on 50 Beautiful Inscription Ideas.
Some of our designs offer the unique opportunity to include personalised handwriting for the engraving. If you select this option during your order process, we'll send you a link to upload the handwriting sample you wish to include in your piece after receiving your order.
This design comes with a Lifetime No-Fade Guarantee, which means that if the prints or text fade on your jewellery due to a fault with the piece, we will repair or remake it free of charge.
All our chains and additional elements come with a one-year guarantee. We urge you to regularly check for any wear and tear and to adhere to the care instructions meticulously to preserve the longevity of your piece.

Can you use prints from any age?
Children's fingerprints emerge at varying ages. We suggest fingerprint jewellery for children aged 12 months and older, as well as adults. For those under 12 months, our hand and footprint collection would be a more suitable choice.
Are the prints required to be on paper?
Please note that we can only process fingerprints obtained using our Fingerprinting Kit or ink on paper. Unfortunately, we are unable to work with prints made with putty or clay.

Is there a time limit for providing prints?
When you place an order with us, we secure a design slot to create your unique handcrafted piece, typically requiring your prints within 8-12 days. For international orders, we ask for prints within 28 days. If you miss this date, you have up to 12 weeks to send them, though this extends delivery to 6 weeks from receipt.
